A Note about “Church Folks Too”

“Church Folk Too” is a tale of the antics and hilarious shenanigans of my grandmother, Louise Harris Reid. She was very well known for speaking her mind (especially at church) in her own way and in her own diction and for telling it “like it is!”

Through this project, I introduce my now 3-year-old granddaughter, Shia, to her great-great grandmother who is now deceased. My granddaughter will come to know the legacy left by her great-great grandmother and will very likely see a little of herself within the confines of this book.

If you want to forget your troubles and cares for a little while, allow this tale to transpose you to this community of church folk that are true to the southern church culture. You will laugh, cry, and simply become engrossed as church issues erupt throughout this church and are dealt with just as we have to deal with the issues in our lives and in our churches.

“Church Folk Too” is a “must read!” Get very comfortable because once you begin reading this book, you will not want to put it down. Adventure, mystique, romance, good, evil, and angels take you on a rollercoaster ride with a myriad of emotions ensuing with each chapter.

I sincerely appreciate your support. Enjoy, and many blessings to you!
